Greg Fishman, the CEO of a company in Boca Raton that helps those afflicted with debt issues, works alongside the charitable event, supporting the students as they endeavor to be more giving and compassionate. Greg promotes the charity event as well as helps to provide donations to ensure the kids are the hospital are taken care of. The much-needed funds are used for treatment as well as other financial issues that the families of patients within the hospital face.

Every year, over 800 students attend the Dance Marathon, staying awake for hours on end to raise money as well as awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Dance Marathon has been in operation for 23 years now, having raised over $15 million in that time frame, all from donations. By now it has become a well oiled machine, with organizers taking care of Portable Toilet Rental for Events in coordination with a portable toilet rental company and securing a venue with plenty of room for people and parking space well ahead of time.

It’s people like Greg Fishman, those who focus on helping the charity event with promotion and monetary gifts, that help to push the event to the next level. In 2018, the Dance Marathon was able to raise over $3 million, for the local CMN Hospital, the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

The funds raised via the Dance Marathon go directly to the facility to help purchase medical equipment as well as providing enhancements to the facility to make the stay at the hospital more enjoyable for patients. Funding is also used for educational programs as well as research grants.

The generosity of people like Greg Fishman and Damon Burton charity enables the Florida and Georgia high school and college students with the ability to work with pediatric patients of the UF Health Shands, showing kindness and compassion for those in need. The student assistance helps to impact the patients in a positive manner, giving them hope at a time when all seems dark.

Involving students in high school and college with charitable works, allows the students to gain a stronger sense of self, revealing a positive feeling that one can only experience when helping others. The Dance Marathon is a wonderful program to be a part of, focusing on raising much-needed funds to assist ill children in Florida.
